The approach to the front door was absolutely enchanting. My first view of the finished landscape was when we arrived pre-dawn to take photography of the home. My favorite is a beautiful fountain on an important sight line from inside the house and also visible (and providing peaceful sound) as you approach the home. She incorporated things the owners already owned with new things she helped them find. She substituted a clever rainwater collection bladder for the cistern we had originally planned and otherwise found ways to make her landscape design work. She also - completely graciously, without a single complaint - worked with what our work left her and made the best of it. Annie was extremely knowledgeable and she and her staff very capable with the very complex drainage mitigation issues. Additionally, there were retention and drainage issues that had to be addressed due to water quality concerns. The lot in question was severely limited due to environmental concerns and we took up much of the allowable area for the home and driveway, leaving Annie very little to work with as far as hardscape goes. Her comments were always relevant and appropriate to her field of expertise (not always the case with other consultants on other projects.) Even though much of the discussion was about details of the home that wouldn't affect Annie's work she was respectfully attentive and supportive of all the other members of the team all the way through the project.
